UFC 258 may not have boasted the most stacked fight card of 2021, but the event provided plenty of action on Saturday night at the UFC Apex.
The main event saw Kamaru Usman bounce back from an early knockdown to finish Gilbert Burns and retain his UFC welterweight title, while Mexican flyweight Alexa Grasso showed that she may be the next new contender at the top of the UFC’s women’s 125-pound division.
It was a big night, too, for middleweight Julian Marquez, who returned from a long injury layoff to claim a come-from-behind win over Maki Pitolo, then asked pop songstress Miley Cyrus to be his Valentine.
On this week’s show we take a look back at the best of the action from UFC 258, and look ahead to the best of the bouts at UFC Fight Night this coming weekend. We also discuss Bellator’s upcoming light heavyweight grand prix tournament and the ongoing – and increasingly tiresome – situation with the UFC lightweight title and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Enjoy the show, and don’t forget to subscribe, rate and review!
